If that method does not work, try re-installing the update. Then open up the Windows Store, search for Skype and see if it works. To uninstall it, find it in the start menu, right click it and then choose uninstall. If you uninstall the Skype preview app, you will be able to get it back via the Windows Store.
You could try uninstalling and reinstalling either the new Skype app or the whole Windows 10 anniversary update.
